NOBS BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND STAFF

Message From the Board

You don't have to be an official performing storyteller to be a member of NOBS.

What we do can benefit even the most introverted students of the Word, simply by giving tools for making personal connections with the scriptures, thus improving personal devotional life.

A warning, however! We have several backbone members who came to our Festival Gathering out of curiosity. They are now leading workshops.

The power of story is too strong to subdue!

Meet the Co-founders of NOBS

"Network of Biblical Storytellers is a wonderful community of people, an interracial and interactive group that has an itch to do something imaginative and creative. We offer the vision of possibilities for reformation of the community, for the reshaping of our minds, for a ministry and life in a new context. Through storytelling we experience new dimensions in our relationships with God. There are things that happen in the engagement of the story that change us and make us a vanguard community that is pioneering ways into the 21st century!"
Tom Boomershine
"A distinguished mark of the Network of Biblical Storytellers is our mission of bringing out the storytelling and the story sharing abilities of the entire community of the people of faith. If each believer had even one short but significant story inside, the entire community would be living out of the biblical stories in a new way. The retelling of that story from time to time, even to oneself, would mediate the presence of God. It would help in giving biblical shape to daily experience, it would locate a person's experience within the larger narrative of God's mighty acts in the life of Israel and the church."
Adam Bartholomew
